I would just get started with the smallest reseller plan (aluminium) they have, and then upgrade when necessary.

Well basically you can expect to have monthly costs – your hosting account, and possibly some outsourcing. You’ll need to buy domains, and you’ll make sites that don’t make you any money, and some do. If you are serious you will need to find places where to find good backlinks for your sites and for the articles that you use to link to your site, something like Build My Rank in the sidebar. Still if you compare it to any offline business, the investments are pretty much non existant.

That’s a pretty vaque question. What kind of an online business are you talking about? If you are in the “basic” internet marketing, it might be just one domain and one hosting account, and you can be making five thousands a month. Hosting can cost less than $10 a month and the domain will cost you $10 a year. That isn’t all though. You’ll need to work a lot, or outsource the work or a part of it. It isn’t realistic to expect that kind of results though. In my books, if you can make one website produce more than $50 a month of almost completely passive income, it’s pretty much a success. Multiply that by a hundred and you are making a decent income.

There are so many ways to make money online, that it is impossible to tell how much it will cost.
